Four Payment Types Added

Four regional payment codes join the type pages, each with a page of its own:

• Pix - Brazil
• PromptPay - Thailand
• UPI - India
• PayNow - Singapore

All four encode plain text: the payment string is issued by the bank or the app, and the generator turns it into a code. The picker fills the field with an example, so you can see the shape yours should have.

The list of QR code types is no longer one long grid. It now splits into the same groups the generator's picker uses, under the same names.

Ten New Types in the Generator

Ten more content types in the generator's picker, each with a page of its own:

• LINE
• Snapchat
• Linktree
• GitHub
• Google Forms
• Calendly
• Zoom
• Amazon
• Etsy
• PayPal

LINE and Snapchat sit with the social types. The other eight are ordinary links, so the picker shows an example for that site and the code stays a plain URL - which is what makes it scan anywhere.

Five QR Code Tools Added

Added a Tools section to KoloQR: five small tools that each answer one question a QR code raises.

• QR Code Print Size Calculator
• QR Code DPI Calculator
• QR Code Contrast Checker
• QR Code Scanner
• QR Code Validator

The first three answer from numbers you already have; the last two read a code image on your device. Every one of them runs in your browser, and none of them asks for a signup.

Guides & Blog Launched

Added two new content sections to KoloQR: Guides and Blog.

Explore practical QR code tutorials, design tips, real-world use cases, and detailed explanations to help you create QR codes that scan reliably and look great.

QR Generator Fixes & Mobile Improvements

Fixed several issues in the QR code generator to make customization and exporting more reliable.

We also improved the mobile experience with smoother controls, better spacing, and a layout that is easier to use on smaller screens.

QR Generator Performance & Codebase Improvements

Refactored the QR generation engine to produce cleaner, more efficient output. Removed unnecessary internal objects and simplified layer creation, making the codebase easier to maintain while improving rendering performance and overall reliability.

Shape Library Open Sourced

The engine that draws a QR symbol into a circle, a triangle, or a hexagon is now open source under the MIT license.

Commercial use, modification, and redistribution are all permitted, provided the copyright notice travels with the code.

Multilingual Support

KoloQR is now available in four additional languages:

Introduced 14 customizable frames compatible with every available QR code shape.
