These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of KoloQR ("we", "us", the "Service"), available at koloqr.com. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
The Service
KoloQR is a free online tool for generating and customizing QR codes. QR codes are generated locally in your browser, and you can download them as image files for personal or commercial use. No account or registration is required to generate and download a QR code.
We provide the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we may limit or discontinue the Service without notice.
Using the Service
You agree to use KoloQR only for lawful purposes. In particular, you agree not to:
- Encode content that is illegal, fraudulent, malicious, or harmful — including links to malware, phishing pages, or scams.
- Use the Service to harass, deceive, or violate the rights of others.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use automated systems to abuse the Service or generate codes at a scale that degrades it for others.
You are solely responsible for the content you encode into a QR code and for where that code directs people. Because codes are generated on your device, we do not review, approve, or monitor the content you create.
Your QR Codes
The QR codes you generate with KoloQR are yours. You may use them for personal and commercial projects — business cards, menus, packaging, events, marketing, and more — without paying us a royalty or attribution fee.
A QR code is a functional pattern, not an artistic work we claim ownership of. We make no claim to the destinations, content, or trademarks you encode, and we grant no rights to anything you do not already own.
No Account, No Stored Codes
Because the Service does not require an account and generates codes locally, we do not store your QR codes or their contents. Once you leave or refresh the page, your work is gone unless you have downloaded it. Keep your own copies of any files you need.
Intellectual Property
The KoloQR name, logo, website design, text, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works of the Service itself without our permission. This does not restrict the QR code image files you generate and download.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every generated QR code will scan correctly on every device. You are responsible for testing your QR codes before printing or publishing them.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KoloQR and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — including any failure of a QR code to scan or function as expected.
Third-Party Links
QR codes you create may link to third-party websites, and our site may reference third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
