Privacy Policy — Browser Extension

KoloQR is a browser extension that generates customizable QR codes. Your privacy is built into how it works: the extension runs entirely on your device and is designed so that your data never leaves it.

Last updated: 2 July 2026

The short version

We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. There are no servers, no accounts, and no tracking.

What data we collect

None. KoloQR does not collect any personal or usage data whatsoever. This includes, but is not limited to:

How your input is handled

Everything you type into KoloQR — the text, URL, email, phone number, Wi-Fi details, or social handle used to build your QR code — is processed locally in your browser to render the code. It is never sent to us or to any third party. When you close the popup, that input is gone; nothing is retained on any server.

Works fully offline

KoloQR requires no network connection to function. All code, fonts, and assets are bundled inside the extension. It does not load or execute any remote code.

Permissions

KoloQR requests a single permission:

Third parties

KoloQR does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No data is shared with anyone, because no data is collected.

Children's privacy

KoloQR does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Open source

KoloQR is open source. You are welcome to inspect the code to verify exactly how it behaves.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same location with a revised "Last updated" date.
